A Doppler dedicated the transcranial diagnostics of the vessels was the first product put into production. When introduced on our market, it was a unique apparatus, available only in a few leading institutions in Poland. Therefore it was necessary to concentrate the efforts of the Company on the promotion of this kind of diagnostic technique and the training of the users. The offered device was soon supplemented with a probe for peripheral vessels providing more complex diagnostics.

The next versions of this apparatus, produced with the use of an industrial PC platform, were equipped with a second probe, used for extracranial vessels (TDS4). Designers received a special prize in the Master of Technology Competition and the equipment found buyers amongst private and public medical centers and was also bought by the Ministry of Health.

A pocket flow detector was the second product of our Company, totally different - very simple and easy in use. Design assumptions vere perfectly confirmed during its production allowing us to keep the original form and the concept until today and to apply changes required only by the development of the technology and electronics.

Then we created a middle range Doppler apparatus - a portable flowmeter with a display and the thermal printer UD 48. This device was powered by an internal rechargeable battery. In one of the versions, in addition to its main use for the diagnosis of blood circulation disorders in the peripheral vessels,the support of the laparoscopic surgery was added.

The next apparatus in our offer (the only one to use outside the vascular field) was a Doppler device designed for monitoring of pregnancies - a fetal heartbeat detector. The special feature of this detector, which makes it stand out amongst so many others available on the market, is the high quality together with the unique and original design.
To indicate the blood flow in very small vessels we created a Doppler with a very high frequency (20 MHz), named ENDOFLOW.
For many years Sonomed cooperated with the Echoson Company, designing and producing Doppler modules used in ultrasonography devices. We alsoprovided parts of the Doppler apparatus and ultrasonic heads for other final products. Within our research projects, amongst many others, we developed a Doppler System, which is integrated with a multi-parameter monitoring used in neurosurgery.

In the last years we introduced a new product – the Vascular Doppler VENO, thought as a device that is easy to use in basic versions but also offers a big choice of extra options. The success of this product was determined by the increasing demand for screening in vascular diagnostics.

Sonomed developed and implemented a quality management system based on the ISO 9000 family of standards. After more than a year of practical verification of the system, some necessary and reflecting standard changing modifications were made.
According to the national and international standards Sonomed introduced and maintains a system that is certified by DNV. This system, ISO 13485,ensures the quality of the production, design and service of the non-invasive ultrasonic diagnostic equipment. Our Company also obtained the right to use the CE marking for its products.
